One way we are 'different' from other funeral homes is we will bring your service and visitation to your community at the church or cemetery of your choice and we do not charge extra to do so. Of course, you can have your funeral and visitation at our chapel.
Home Our response to COVID-19 March 18, 2020 To our very special community of friends and neighbors Hultgren Funeral Home has served our community for almost 90 years and we stand ready to help you now. During this time of uncertainty, our caring staff will continue to assist families during this critical time. Our hearts go out to those affected by the recent changes due to the COVID-19 crisis and we extend our appreciation to our health care community for all they are doing to protect us. We are well prepared to serve you during this crisis. We continue to educate ourselves with the latest guidance and updates. After reviewing the most recent recommendations from the WHO, CDC, the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois and National Funeral Directors Associations; we have established the following temporary service restrictions: Public Services While we will work with every family to assure that their needs are met as they process loss, we must be creative in limiting our gatherings to the smallest groups possible. This means that funeral, memorial, and celebration services will be limited to (10) immediate family members (extended family by arrangement) until further notice. We offer free live streaming and recording and will post videos of services as requested. We continue to offer a free online guest book and memorial video at www.hultgrenfh.com for every family we serve. To the caring friends, your support is now more important than ever. We know that this is a time of uncertainty for everyone and we want you to know that your health is foremost in our minds so you can still support families that have lost a loved one during this unusual time. For those visiting our funeral home While the COVID-19 virus requires all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities, rest assured that our funeral home is clean and safe. Our protocols cover everything from hand washing hygiene, cleaning product specifications, to equipment and common area cleaning procedures. Making funeral arrangements If you have recently lost a loved one, or will soon, our staff is here for you. If you are unable to make arrangements in person at our funeral home due to travel restrictions, health concerns or any other reason, our caring staff will help you accomplish everything necessary through email, Facetime and other technologies.
