Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory is an independently owned and operated funeral home and cremation facility in Miami, FL. The Caballero family carries four generations of experience providing quality, personalized services and guidance for families and loved ones in need. The first Caballero funeral home was opened in 1857 in Cuba. The family migrated to Miami in 1960, and continued their tradition in the industry. Fernando Caballero worked with his family and learned the funeral home business. He became known for his professional care and integrity, and continued working even after their funeral home business was sold in 1990. To continue the family legacy, Fernando decided to open his own, private location in 2002. He founded Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory in the same building that his father opened their first Miami location over 50 years ago. We have a private crematory and preparation facility on-site. This allows us complete control over the cremation and preparation process, so that your loved one can remain in our care every step of the way. Most funeral homes in the area sub-contract crematories which involves transporting the decedent to another location, often resulting in extra time and possibly more anxiety over the process. Let us put your mind and heart at ease, by handling all cremation and preparation needs on-site. We understand that every individual and family has their own unique needs and desires when it comes to celebrating life. We can guide you through the many options available to hold healing funeral services, to create meaningful permanent memorials, and to celebrate the relationships and memories you hold dear for your loved one. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Whether you decide upon traditional or untraditional funeral services, burial or cremation, you can count on us to help you create a tribute with the individualized, personal touches you desire. For those wanting to make the process easier for their loved ones later on, we can help you design and pre-plan for your own funeral services so your family and friends know how you wish to be celebrated. Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory is always honored to help carry out Veteran Funerals. We can also coordinate your needs for repatriation, which is the process of getting the remains of your loved one home to be laid to rest in their homeland. When choosing how to honor life, our endless options include tribute videos, programs, prayer cards, memorial websites, live funeral webcasting and recording, and so much more. We can also help you find the most fitting permanent place where you can remember your loved one, whether at a cemetery, mausoleum, or cremation garden. If you are seeking guidance for pre-planning and designing your own services, we welcome your call and are here to assist you. If you are in immediate need, please know we are here for you 24 hours/day. Connect with the caring professionals at Ferdinand Funeral Homes & Crematory anytime day or night by calling (305) 631-0001.
