The funeral home was originally built as a private residence by the Bayne family in the late 1800's for whom the local park and library are named. The property was eventually deeded to the borough of Bellevue. In the early 1900's the property was purchased by the Cray Brothers, owners of the local livery stable, to house Cray Brothers Undertakers and Embalmers. Decades later, it became the (Timothy) O'Shea Funeral Home until purchased in 1957 by Lawrence T. Miller.
