Reed & Be0it was established in September of 1945 when F. Herbert Be0it returned from Navy service to join Mrs. Gertrude E. Reed in operation of the then O.B. Reed 0rthside Funeral Home, Mill St., which was established in 1927 by Mrs. Reed's late husband, Ora B. The funeral home was relocated to its present location at 632 State St, in 1946.
