Byron Young opened the Young Funeral Home on July 4, 1947. He hosted a large open house that evening with over 600 in attendance. The first funeral held by Young Funeral Home was July 6, 1947. Edd Preston joined the staff in July 1948. Aaron Moon joined the staff in 1968, with Larry See joining shortly thereafter. George Preston joined his father in the funeral business. In 1995 he added Shawn Spears to the staff. Shawn would later purchase the funeral home and operate it until his death. The funeral home is currently managed by Charles Patrick, and Billy Oney, who joined the staff in October 2017. Why Choose Us?
