Garden Of Remembrance

The Garden of Remembrance (Gan Zikaron) Memorial Park is a 0nprofit, 501(C)(3) tax exempt religious organization established in September 1999 to provide Jewish burial grounds and practices to the Greater Washington and Maryland Jewish community. Garden of Remembrance provides a location for Jewish interments and memorials in a meaningful setting that meets the religious needs and laws for all segments of the Jewish community. 'Kavod Hamet, ' ho0ring the deceased, is the most important and valued 'mitzvah' (commandment) in Jewish law enabling and requiring one to perform an obligation for which he can0t be repaid. Garden of Remembrance (Gan Zikaron) Memorial Park enables the Jewish community to ho0r the deceased, respect the bereaved, and preserve the legacy of generations of Jewish life.
