Since 1953, Hickey Funeral Home has been serving the families of Monticello and Wayne County. In 1953, visitations lasted for days – not an evening only; they were in the family home – not in the funeral home. The funeral service was held in the church – not the funeral chapel. We passed out fans – not turned down the air conditioning. The men of the community – not a backhoe – dug the grave.
